Welcome to El Cuartón - a bit of green in Southern Spain.

El Cuartón is an urbanization located in the South of Spain, in a region called Andalucia. More specifically, it is in an area of rolling hills in the province of Cádiz, about 8 km west of Tarifa. The nearest "big" city is Algeciras, about 20 km to the east.

El Cuartón, and the immediate region, is unique in that it receives more precipitation than most anywhere else in Southern Spain, meaning that it is typically a lot greener and at least a little cooler than nearby regions.

The purpose of this website is to provide a forum for not only the residents of El Cuartón, but also to provide general information about the area.

Bienvenido a El Cuartón - un poco de verde en el sur de España.

El Cuartón es una urbanización situada en el sur de España, en una región llamada Andalucía. Más específicamente, se encuentra en una zona de colinas en la provincia de Cádiz, a unos 8 km al oeste de Tarifa. El más cercano "gran" ciudad de Algeciras, a unos 20 km hacia el este.

El Cuartón, y la región inmediata, es la única que recibe más precipitaciones que la mayoría en cualquier otro lugar en el sur de España, lo que significa que suele ser mucho más verde y por lo menos un poco más fría que las regiones cercanas.

El propósito de elcuarton.com es proporcionar un foro para que no sólo los residentes de El Cuartón, sino también para informar acerca de la vida en general, en esta parte de España.
